My payment failed. Why do I have a pending charge on my statement?

Not to worry! You're most likely seeing a pending authorization from your credit-card company or bank that will fall off in a few days. (If you're seeing a $1 charge, please read this.)

If we've attempted to charge your payment method, but the payment failed, you may see a pending charge for the amount of your payment. These charges are often labelled pending, which can be confusing. Normally, the charges are temporary and won't clear your account, and they should fall off in 1-2 business days. But sometimes failed payments will also eventually succeed after initial attempts.
